In general the US didn't get turbo Imprezas until late 2001, with the intro of the new age cars. The older chassis was only available with atmospherically aspirated motors up to 2.5L and producing roughly 160-ish HP. Also, around the time of the new age's intro the main demographic interested in Subarus started changing, so now turbo Imprezas are actually quite common. Next to nothing early available though.

I wish we did get them earlier though... LONG LIVE Colin Mcrae!

In my city JDM's are very popular, tons of shops specializing in importing earlier gen Subarus. Most in phenomenal shape, with low Km's. A new shop just opened up that imports parts, wheels, etc... for GC's. TONS of nice stuff, the seats look so much better than anything Subaru offers in NA.

Yeah, got a bunch on my youtube. Different times and mods.

YouTube - impreza22bbs's Channel

Another one when I was just a stage 2 vs a wrx with a stage 2 with a custom tune and some other little goodies.

It does. lol. Can't wait to have the 09 sti engine in there with more tq. That and I'm gonna run the spare vf39 I got laying around and work my vf34. It'll be a fun little project.
