Just took my subaru through a short section of fire road and fell in love with driving on dirt. Is there anything i can do to prepare my car to go through gravel and mud?

depends on what you want? most common were posted already, but if you want to go big you could do forester suspension, beefed up skid plates, lights and other stuff. i think there was a thread over on nasioc about it. it was called something like "calling all lifted subarus."
Skid plates, 1" lift kits (), appropriate tires and some form of rally type driving school.
