On second thought, this is part of the exhaust. I'm sure the exhaust gasses are more than 900F. Don't sweat the heat, just make sure you're using it.

I was looking thru today's posts & stumbled across this. Flyers7732 posted some pics. He's got a pretty cool looking heat shield his. Check it out.

Ok, update... KartBoy extra long exhaust hangers dropped it enough. I grabbed some 1200 degree gray paint to coat the little under side of the lip where the tip is to cover the bare spot. My next issue is sway. The exhaust now swings like a swing set.

Pardon the iPhone pics, the digital camera lives in the wifey's purse so I never have it.

New extra long Kartboy hangers helped. I have to halve a piece of fuel line to slide over each post to keep them tight. Now to figure out how to touch up the paint it burned away.

Plus, I did the RA, and I love it!!

I haven't installed it yet, I'm still waiting on Cobb to crank out a map. Not sure how the two stack up against each other.

After a short break, modding begins again. The down pipe is wrapped, sprayed and will be installed Friday just before the protune by Good Speed. After which it's off to get race gas and head for the drag track to catch the last night of drags for the year.
