25 ft lb....wut-wo

Just hit 117K on my 03 wagon, dumped $2000 into it, with the Perrin full turbo back exhaust and Perrin short ram intake, agency power bov, etc... I put the exhaust and intake on Yesterday in a couple hrs, then about an hour later after I had been rallying it I let my buddy drive it. I told him to stop milking it and get on it. So he was winding up in 3rd and she just let go, and blew 3 gear!!! WHHOOOPS! :sadwave: It must have been ready to go, but it was just a huge kick in the nuts! and it was hilarious that my buddy was driving when it happened. oh well.

Updated everyone with at least 100K. Congrats & thanks for posting!

That is good for 3rd on the list. Glad to hear it is doing well. :)

Update guys. 307,000 miles now and running strong. The 05 trans I put in feels great! About to put a new AC compressor on since mine locked up last fall and put in a new thermostat. But the car is solid. Very few squeaks or rattles and still pulls hard. Should be good for another 100K!

I just joined this forum. I'm driving a 02 wrb bugeye nearing 190K, stage2 with cobb ap base map, erz uppipe and downpipe, magnaflow catback, lightweight crank pulley, cobb sf intake and shield, upgraded intercooler hoses and after maf hose. I do have a question, would I benefit from getting my car tuned(protuned) since it has so many miles on? Or should I save my money for a future trade. I do love my ride, she's running strong day after day. Thanks for any input and replies.

#219 ·
Congrats, sounds like a great car. A protune will be as worthwhile as the protuner you choose. The car could be stronger with less attrition or they could wring it out.

136,500 Miles on My '02. Hit 100k in October 2007 on a drive from Portland to Fresno, just barely missed the turn.

I expect to hit 200k early next year as I am going to start driving across country a lot again. Driving from Connecticut to Los Angeles in 2 weeks. Going to see if I can make it in 3 days. Made it in 2 1/2 last time, but I stopped in Texas to see some friends for a few days in the middle.

2004 with 104k now

I clipped over 100k a month or two ago. It was a good feeling for sure. I'm currently sitting at 103,952 on my 2004 WRX wagon.

Going to swap out the timing belt and water pump this weekend, then we should be set for another 100k. She's only got a few minor mods, sway bars and end links, so far no problems on the tranny, clutch, or engine.

Runs strong still, no complaints here!:wiggles:

I have a 2002 WRX with 156,180 miles on it and its still running pretty strong. About 2,000 to 3,000 miles ago the bearings in an idler pulley went out so I dropped 700 bucks to replace all the pulleys, timing belt, and the water pump. It was well worth the money though for the enjoyment I get out of the car. If anyone has any advice or tips on how to extend the life of my WRX please reply. Thanks!!!

All right everyone, I took the next step and am putting in a 16G turbo, bigger TMIC and STI injectors, and I'm getting tuned the end of the month. The odometer reads 193,500 now, yup I'm a little worried how it will go but can't wait for the extra power. If I can get 270-300whp on a safe tune I will be more than happy. I've always wanted to see sti numbers in my bugeye.

Well my Car is at the shop getting a new shortblock (spun rod bearing) but i have 126,946 on it right now.

03, Cobb stage 1, Original clutch (probably getting replaced as well), Original tranny.
