actually had a bunch of things break over the years.. some due to my stupidity and others to the dealership screwups.. but aside from some mechanical issues after major rebuild at 65K miles.. it's been pretty solid.. it seems that most of the problems were due to mechanic's errors rather than subaru reliabilty..

    Voltage - '03 WRX: 118,000

I just got my WRX about 3 weeks ago with 117k. Just had to do a bit of maintenance (brakes, oil change) but everything works perfectly. It just needs a bit of body work but nothing too serious.

    Smile Update...

    200,034 miles.

Quite the coincidence that as I parked my car at work yesterday morning the odometer was sitting at exactly 200,000! I would have missed it otherwise.

Bought new. Put nearly every mile on it myself. Stage II+ since about 35k iirc.

    Cheers, T.J.

    06ltd - 101,684 mi.

AC idler pulley tensioner broke while changing the belts. Cheap to fix, but I'm scratching my head why they made the stupid thing out of plastic in the first place. Considering everything I've done to it I'm a little surprised nothing else has broken

I'm sitting on 130,800. Engine still easily passes 90+% of the cars in my area. Love my wonderwagon.

Fantastic stuff but also in my view this should be the new baseline.

Why on Earth would anyone buy or recommend another Subaru if this one doesn't make 200k?

We shouldn't. We should accept no less. If they fail, they should not be rewarded with more money.

I'm only at 130k; my car is still new!
