Update: I just hit 326,000! Still runs great. Just replaced my stock radiator last week with a Godspeed unit. Great product with an easy bolt-on install.

    That is amazing! Congrats!
Have you had any problems that you'd like to share with the rest of us? Any rust issues? Stock turbo? What all have you had to replace along the way?

Friends don't let friends drive stock.
Racing a neon is like fighting a girl: you can't brag about it if you win, and you don't want anyone to know if you lose.

Lol! No I live in MS. No rust issues here. Car has stock eveything except a few bolt ons and transmission. Replaced the trans last year because I got a good deal on a 05 trans. Original one had a bad bearing and had to be replaced.

That's good to know that the stock turbo can last that long.

My current tank of gas will get me to 143,000. I'm still so happy with my 2002 WRX, and it makes me feel proud that I put all the miles on myself.

I've finally finished my suspension upgrade. I've got a set a ST coilovers (a.k.a. KW V1's), Whiteline 22 mm adjustable sway bars, and Kartboy end links, front and rear.

The understeer is gone, and she just keeps turning in.

I'm excited to cross 200,000 one day.

    still goin

so i'm at about 149,000.. some issues along the way
I have a 2004 WRX that i bought new in Oct 2003 during a lunar eclipse. in '05 i hooked up a U-haul and pulled home my late father's '60 Harley w/about 1000lbs of tools about 400 miles..... with the AC on in JULY!.. you couldn't even tell I was haul'n close to the limit of 2000lbs!.. in '06 I bent the #1 connecting rod having sucked water up into the cold air intake.. which is the only mod I made over the years. Subaru dealership totally screwed up the engine rebuild and left me stranded at 15below zero at Killington VT with gas leaking out onto the engine.. so after about $6000 of insurance money and $3000 out of pocket at a better mechanic it's been good up till this year.. had to replace the AC unit too beause the dealership scewed up the re-install of that too.
This year I add a new radiator to the mix.. another dealership screwup (different dealership) after they replaced it for $600 it split one week later.. they blamed me! but they did fix it at no cost..
other than that, new rear shocks,

for next year i'll need that new clutch.. first time too.. new front shocks and have to have the front end looked at.. even with new tires and an alignment it shakes at high speed.

this still is the best car i ever owned.. in the past, i would have done all the above work (with the exception of the engine rebuild) before 80K miles..
