So, everyone else jumps off a bridge and you don't. +1

You sit there and watch everybody die? -1

Two choices:
-Get rid of the wrx & get a bike, which would protect other lives on the road.
-Keep the WRX and get insurance.

As you are my subie bro, I'm trying to hear you out on this one, but it just doesn't make sense!

Insurance

As this thread has now tilted the way of insurance comparisons: I'm 25, married, own a home and use the same insurance company on all my vehicles and my house. I have no recent tickets (in the last 5 years). I can't remember what my grades were in school, but I hated algebra, and Tony. My favorite drink is a white russian. Sometimes I cry after sex. Considering all this info, and using multi-policy discounts, I get liability on my 00 civic, and full coverage (1k deductible) on my wrx to the tune of $90 a month.

Is it even legal to drive without insurance? I know alot of people do it but it doesn't make it ok.

I'm paying 190 a month for 2 cars (02 and an 08) i'm 28 (soon to be 29) and the wife is 27 (one at fault accident 4 years ago). Paying like $22 a month for renters. My insurance just increased from 127 to 190 each month. Apparently a statewide increase due to the cars i drive. My last and only ticket I got was in 2000 and it was for running a yellow light.

Tried state farm they wouldn't even touch me but i did find that proggressive was $77 just for liability so i got that. but anyways that still won't cover comp and collision so my windows arn't covered. but thats ok, I spent some time with my dad and cooked ont the grill and my baby is all one piece again.

I wouldn't call myself ignorant just and individual and more independant.

I am sorry if some people don't like me, I am usualy a nice guy and easy to get along with and am an upstanding citizin.

I am who I am and NO one will change that.

I see where you're coming from, with saying that insurance is pretty much paying for nothing. Since 2002, my parents have had only two fender benders, that weren't even their fault so it was like paying thousands and nothing in return. In 2006, I had an accident, that also wasn't my fault, but it was good that we had insurance, because otherwise we would have had to buy a whole new car. And now, with my sister driving and having 3 wrecks and her year and a half driving, and totaling her car, the insurance is really, REALLY useful. Yes, your rates go up, but you're not being taken to court. That is an amazing feeling.

EDIT: By no means am I trying to preach to you. Just personal experience. I had the same outlook as you before all that happened.

I do understand what you mean the biggest problem I have now is that i just don't feel safe where I live because of what happend. I do understand getting hit and it not being your fault, I almost did 5 times today because people are either on their phones or don't know where the heck they are going, and not in the right lanes for where they want to go, so they have to cut accross all lanes of traffic just to cut me off to get to Wall-Mart.
