    Gosh I hope my engine doesn't poop on me when i get my 09 You guys say check the date on the door jam? if its pass year 08+ then i should be fine?

    anything after sept 08 is fine

    another little update- had a fellow (08 build date) w/ a failure at 27,000 miles

    that's a lot of miles before letting go

    funny to think that when mine went at 9300 miles, at that time I had the highest mileage of all the failures

    I'm past 19,000 now..

    are you kidding me?!?!? im at 15000 and i thought i was doing good..there is no hope for me i know it is going to happen i just want it to happen NOWWWWWW!! im soo sick of wondering everytime i get in my car if ill make it to my destination

    For the people who got their motor replaced. Did you guys have any issues with the new engine? If not, what miles are you at now?

    there were two very (very) early replacement motors that also failed- if I was a betting man they were 07/08 build motors- to my knowledge since then no replacement motors have failed and no motors beyond the effected build dates (07/08) have failed- at least due to spun bearings anyways

    No issues yet, mine went at almost 15,000, now at 24,000.

    Mine went at 15,000. I am now at 24,000 with no issues.

    I have nightmares of my car hitting 36,001 miles then losing power and hearing a knocking sound.

    Like a combination of don't wake daddy/cold sweat status.

    Harsh, I am upto 22k. Hasn't failed yet. Mine is also an Aug build
