the guy that bought (traded) the Enkei's has them- worked out a very good deal I feel (probably mostly due to the fact that his BBS rims are pretty scratched up)

Gonna sand blast them and powder coat them STI Pink? No doubt the boss would approve

little nervous on powder coating aluminum wheels- especially forged wheels

more like lots and lots of elbow grease and paint

as much as I seek the bosses approval I'll probably pass on the cherry blossum, will probably go some shade of anthracite

Good call on not powdercoating aluminum. I didn't realize it was a bad thing, and had a set of 16x7 RS wheels done. Turns out two of them got warped in the process.

ouch! a saw couple of threads where folks had some very bad experiences on the track w/ powder coated wheels- one was a Corvette- down right scary

I know some manufacturers do powder coat their wheels, but obviously these are under their controlled environment- temp, length of time etc

paint is quite a bit safer

can't tell you exactly what the moonroof weighs, but the premium package adds 54 lbs, likely most of that is the moonroof

Looks nice, but how is the reception with the shorter antenna?

On my Vibe I installed an S2000 antenna. The FM was okay but not quite as good, and AM was much worse (I like talk radio ). So after a week I switched it back.

it's hard to answer this question because the moonroof itself plays a small role in the weight gain.

when you cut a big hole in the roof, then structurally speaking, it is much more susceptible to torsional loads (twisting forces).

so the perimeter of the moonroof gets reinforced with more steel. that's where most of the weight gain comes from.

convertibles get extra reinforcement in the doors, door sills, around the cowl, etc. which explains the ~200lb weight gain over a standard coupe.

just found this thread and wanted to subscribe!

how do you like the Wagon? I love the way the STi wagon looks, but the regular WRX looked a little bulky to me...

You're very lucky though, the after market is geared towards the wagon right now!!
