exhaust ?

hey guys i just bought a tanabe ultra medallion catback with a perrin downpipe. i was originally looking at the tanabe concept g which cost about 750 but due to lack of stock and my tendency to be really impatient i went with the medallion which cost about 1000. aparently this is a nice exhaust as the guy at the shop confessed that its the catback that he had wanted for a while but couldnt find the money. my question, whats the damn difference. both 3' catless, and lightweight, hi-flow. why the $300 difference? i would normally just say that i paid for the name but they're both tanabe.

Difference is simple. Titanium. The Ultra Medallion is a full titanium canister (stronger, lighter, better corrosion resistance) with stainless piping.

The Concept G is made of all Stainless steel, polished, which will lose its luster after about 3-4 months unless you keep polishing it. Stainless steel is also pretty heavier than titanium.

Titanium is a much more expensive and high-tech metal compared to steel, ergo the more expensive price tag.
