Looking for performance figures by year

I have been looking but haven't been able to fine some sort of comparison between the various years of WRX and/or STI with respect to performance numbers.
Anybody have the information I am looking for?

The search function isn't currently working . For now your best bet is google. Try searching for wrx vs. sti later on and you should get some results here on the club.

Why would anybody do any flaming?

I am just trying to see the bottom line performance differences from year to year.

Honestly, I doubt you'll see massive differences in quarter mile times for various years of WRX. The later years with the 2.5 certainly had better driveability due to low-end torque improvement, but it doesn't seem like it translated into much better track numbers, stock for stock.

Modded is a different story, of course. The '06 and later cars really come alive with a stage 2 setup, by most reports.

The STI may have some differences. I don't profess to be any sort of expert on that car.

From my experience I've walked an 06 sti multiple times with my 04. I've got CAI and CBE untuned and he had CBE untuned both of us with one passenger and 1/2 tank of juice.

I dunno about walking...but thats a drivers race. CBE's and CAI's make no performance difference on STIs. Unless of course you mean TBEs...

gearing of the 07 STI transmissions makes them "quicker" in a straight line drag.

There is a lot more to performance than just 1/4 mile times, particularly with something like a Subaru that is actually designed to handle the curves.
Braking
G's in a turn
0 to 60
top speed
stuff like that

Edmunds is usually the best place for something like that.

While I completely agree with you, 99% of the people here that are asking about performance are talking about acceleration.

You'll find some dissenting opinions about whether or not Subaru's are designed to handle curves. I was quite dissatisfied with the handling of my wagon before I upgraded the endlinks, rear sway, and springs.
