Blue Smoke

So, I have an 07 STi...dont drive it much...maybe once a week.
I started up after a few days of sitting, maybe 4 or 5 days.(FYI, I just had my first service @1200 miles)...and a big fat cloud of blue smoke came out of my exhaust...is this a major problem? I know thats not a good thing, as I have read...any input? Should I be calling my Subie Dealer tomorrow AM?

Thanks peeps!

No, I sure havent.
I was doing some more reasearch, and came up with some other reasons...but I need to look it over and see if its a possibility. Something about needing an oil catch.

Well, I bought the car new from the dealership and it had about 300 miles on it or so...I am guessing there was probably a few morons who just wanted to test drive it and more than likely dogged it pretty bad...
I will call the dealership if it does it again today...I will check in about an hour or so...
Thanks again guys.

I'd be curious to see if the smoke persists if the car is driven daily.

In any case, this is a new car. If there is a problem, it's not your problem. It's SOA's problem. If you continue seeing smoke come out of the car, have the dealer sort it out (I send them my love...).

I suspect the car won't smoke if driven more frequently though. I'd be curious to see the outcome.

If it smokes on start I am calling the dealer. Let ya know in a few.

100% Take it to the dealer. Either your valve seals or turbo are leaking down.

Hey! I think mine did that too! I looked out the rear window in order to back up and saw some dark smoke like in your video. It disappeared and I haven't seen it since, so I wrote it off as being a hallucination. If it only does it one time, does it mean my valve seals or turbo are in question?

I'm at Cobb stage 2 so I hope that wouldn't interfere with any warranty work.
