Pulled over for 35mph in a 30. Cop said i was racing. Two lane road going into one. car next to me dropped the clutch (spun his wheels) and pulled out in front of me. needless to say i pulled over for the flashing lights. which was intended for the driver in front of me. The cop kept saying i spun my wheels. I told the cop my car was awd. Well he slapped me with a road racing, disorderly conduct, failure to read a traffic device, intent to indanger a podestrian.
That was a total of 6 month loss of a plastic card with my picture on it.

Lawyer 1950
Fines dropped to (2 points)
and some 300 in fines.
I was lucky, was able to pay for my problem. Yes i was mad, it all catches up to you. Ive done some stupid things in the past (we all have) but owning a yellow car dosnt hlep. LIVE AND LEARN.

Wow it's so much worse for guys. I think the only reason I get pulled over is because they are lonely. They pull you(men) over because they were the nerds you beat up in high school and they wanted your car.

My only ticket was for 83 in a 55 (6-pt ticket) just after I got my license, which was reduced to "failure to observe a traffic signal" (2-pt ticket).

My worst time being pulled over was for the following (within a few days of the ticket mentioned above):
  • 60 in a 30 (8-pt ticket)
  • Unsafe turn (3-pt ticket)
  • Underage possession of alcohol
  • DWI (I had 2 drinks at a friend's house about an hour earlier and was not drunk, but due to being < 21, zero tolerance would have meant mandatory DWI)
  • Open container (I had a half-empty bottle of liquor under my driver seat)
  • Possession of a controlled substance

I got nothing that day (other than the stuff being taken), but I learned a valuable lesson, and haven't done anything stupid since.

Since then, I've been pulled over 5 times - 3 of which were for "speeding" by going < 5mph over the limit, once for "rolling a stop sign" (my car rolled backwards, which means I had to have come to a stop), and once for flashing my high-beams at a state trooper (this was easily avoided when I explained that I was in a new car and wanted to make sure my high-beams weren't blinding him). I now get laughed/pointed at for driving the speed limit by young kids in beater cars

It's not worth it to speed or drive like an idiot

+1.
I think it's funny when I do the speed limit & some ricer or impatient soccer mom is behind me swerving back & forth wanting me to go faster.

210 bucks in FL on the 95, going from Miami to Orlando, doing 96 in a 70, after he gave me the ticket he said "keep it on the track son"

Since then i don't go even a hair over 10mph over the speed limit.

$250 plus an operating with uninsured/unregistered vehicle. Sounds bad, but read on.

I was out of the country for 2 months, came back in time for my brother's wedding. The following morning I was on my way to the bride's parent's house to help clean up from the after party, got pulled over for having an expired inspection sticker. I was about 1/4 mile from the house I was going to.

I explained to the officer that I had been out of the country for 2 months, just gottten back, hadn't had time yada yada yada. He went back to his car, ran the plate found out the registration had expired while I was gone. The notice was sitting in a pile of mail at home.

I begged/pleaded with him to let me push the car to the house I was going to, or offered to let him drive it there, but he said he had already called the tow truck. The car was a 3rd gen RX-7, so I really really didn't want it to be towed, since I knew they would somehow screw it up.

Tow truck driver shows up, says it'll be $50. I have no cash, so we tow the car a couple of miles to the bank and back. Getting it off the truck he scrapes the bottom of my radiator on the pavement, spilling coolant everywhere. A week later I get my car back with a crappy radiator. Awesome.

Still paying for that one...

i did that back in highschool. the bus and i were almost parallel to each other because i couldn't tell where it was stopping and i wasn't about to slam on my brakes to stop in time. i noticed there was a cop behind the bus staring at me, so i looked at him, shrugged my shoulders and drove off. he was laughing as i passed him. didn't get pulled over.
