Haven't you heard? Subaru's last forever!
Seriously though, 200K shouldn't be a problem for a stock, well-maintained Subaru. Even a lightly modified one should probably last that long. Obviously if you get into turbo swaps and hard driving, the life span is less.

Two worst things for a car*:
    1) beat the daylights out of it
    2) leave it sitting most of the time

(* - Barring accidents and unforeseeable situations.)

An un-modded, regularly driven but NOT abused Subaru with proper maintenance can last 200K without too much difficulty.
I have known many who had Subarus that did just that- one with 300k before it was finally replaced, since things were really starting to go.

The rep. for durability and longevity is one of the reasons I bought one.

I am not sure how much impact mods will have, but I'd say it depends on the mods and subsequent maintenance, as well as just how hard you push the car.
Personally, I am not so concerned that it has kept me from changing sway bars.

I just sold my Stage 4 304whp WRX which had 93k miles on the clock, and it was rock solid. Been running with the bigger turbo for about 60,000 miles.

If you keep the maintenance up it will last you well over 200k

    trannys on the other hand....

idk wtf your saying about srt4's those engines are much stronger then the ej20's and even the usdm sti engines. Wrx's can still go 150k no problem if you treat it right.

    E-Sarcasm > Me.

If you are being being serious though, I would disagree with you. Having owned one, the reliablity on the SRT-4 was crap. I had problems and 30k. I treated like a baby too.

    Non Turbo = 200k-300k easily

Turbo = Depends on driver and mods. Launch the vehicle like your tranny is bullet proof and it will not last. That goes for any car though.

what do they say in the Subaru commercial? 95% of the subaru's sold in the last 15 years are still on the road? my numbers may be all wrong. but is something along those lines

bottom line...if you drave like an ass, and want 400hp...then no, its not going to last very long.

My 02 WRX sedan with gutted uppipe (and no other mods) has about 150k on the clock and has never had any real problems- the AC went out a couple of years ago, but that's it. It uses about 1 quart of oil every 5,000 miles at this point, which I'd say isn't too shabby given the miles and usage. It's daily driven, autocrossed usually 5-8 times a year every year since it was new, and goes on day-long runs up in the mountains usually 6 or so times a year, and usually at least 1-2 days spent slinging it around gravel backroads. Been a great car.

Do us all a favor: work on learning how to drive your car before adding more power. Pretty please.
