    Holy crap, blue tape!!!!

So I was sitting at work today ( full service gas station, with a shop), when one of my co-workers says " Wow dude, come look at this".....
Anyways, it was like an 06 WRX wagon in black, with BLUE painters tape ALL over it
I don't think there was much on the front bumper, but about 1/3 of the hood was done in a partial sun shape with rays radiating up the hood, and on the mirrors, and wheels, and a couple of smiley faces and **** on it.... also, I think I saw JDM in Blue tape as well
I was thinking maybe they just bought the car and were transporting it or something and wanted to keep from getting rock chips etc. however JDM was also drawn in the dirt on the paint too
I think it had Connecticut plates on it

i've seen people do this before. usually people use blue tape to tape up their bumpers and stuff if they go rallying or are going on long trips so they dont get bug guts all over their car. haha

    +1

The person was probably headed to a track event or car show to protect the paint from bugs, rocks, etc. Most likely a track event since you said "JDM" was traced in the dirt on the paint.

I read about two guys in an S4 driving cross country covered in painters tape. It was pretty funny, they started with just the bumpers and then went all out and covered the whole car. By the end of the trip most of their belongings were covered in tape as well.

People are OCD about their paint. I know I am. After I found out how crappy the WRX's paint is I let out a long cry of buyer's remorse.

Meh its stock paint drive it like you stole it.

I only cared when I had a custom paint job/painted the car myself.

I got my bumpers resprayed on my VW when I got my GLI lip, skirts and rear valance. They didn't prep the front bumper well enough it had tons of chips within a year, it was so depressing.
