Manual vs. automatic...wrx/sti vs. evo...motorcycle vs. car...do teens deserve to be handed new STI's...are teens capable of driving turbocharged sports sedans...does Trainrex wear heels or sensible flats when he goes out at night...is an intake good or bad for a WRX...what's the definition of a ricer........these are arguments that have cycled over and over and over for the last 5 years that I've been here. Just seems to be hardwired into the place.

I feel bad for the parents that have to bury two of their kids

5 star crash rating, AWD? Looks safe on paper.

i think all teens need to have junkers for a first car, not just cuz they are slower than your grandma on a sunday morning, but so they can under stand the real value in having a nice car, whenever that may come around for them. and also not only to learn how to duct tape your bumper back to your frame, tho i feel this is an invaluable skill, but so teens can acquire the decision making skills of life, like "hey i only could afford one bottle of silicon sealent, do i take care of the leak in my trunk, or the leak in the back seat?"
sure as hell ain't your grandma's wagon

    Red face

well i really dont think its how old some is. its how they act in different situations (maturity). im 17 and i have been driving my WRX for over a year now. i dont street race or do anything stupid. even thought i didnt buy my car with my own money i still baby it like crazy. the car was given to me by my parents (dad had it first but he bought it cause i wanted one). makes me feel bad to see people go like this and a wrx in that shape. and how this makes others think about teens.

You would think the parents would have learned after not only a year prior he totalled his 97' Prelude by driving poorly.

That is a damn shame and I really feel for the two 15 year olds in the car that had no control over this kids actions.

Yep, thats what i was saying. As an insurance underwriter myself, i can assure you that we dont give discounts for hell of it, so i would have to imagine that there is significant data to imply that good grades = less risk.
