is it just a lighter pedal feel or does it engage quicker? I'm assuming its still a hydraulic clutch. And how does the gearing feel? Is first still very short and second drop you out of the power band? I'm sure the extra .5L helps a lot though, but if first still has the same ratio, then I'm sure your through that gear pretty quick

Seems lighter but grabs a lot quicker. Gearing seems pretty close although I do not have official numbers... 5th seems to run at a lower rpm at 65 mph, though... probably for MPG purposes. With more torque down lower in the band, you still have access to power when shifting.

Just got back from lunch... up to 491 miles... hehe...

Hit 1083 miles since Tuesday... had to do my breakin run. Wow... It has a lot more "usable" torque - wider power band (for those that were asking about power at shifts). I actually need to learn this clutch even more. It definitely grabs better. And there is more of a growl!!

I'll try to do my exhaust and sway bar tonight and see if I can get some pics...

Funny, my girly banned herself. She doesn't like the clutch. Not too cool 'cause now anytime we're going anywhere and there's a chance she might drive at some point, then we have to take her car.

Since this is a 2.5L now, does that mean it is just an non-tuned STI motor? What is the diference between the new wrx motor and the STI motor?

Breaks + wheels are my favorite addition. Still not a fan of the grill.

Clutch was upgraded, trans has double synchros in first gear (not sure if they strengthened anything else), brakes, and the 2.5.

The 2.5 is the same as the Forester XT. Different heads, I/C and turbo. I imagine the ECU was mapped differently for those changes as well...

That's gotta suck! It's the opposite with our situation- I don't want the husband to drive so we take the STI.
I'd rather be driving anyways, probably more so now than before.......

Cat-back mates up the same -- if not a bit better.
However, I'm assuming that was a HUGE-butt resonator I took off behind the cat... holy crap! If anyone has some '06 exhaust diagram access, I'd love to know what that was...

Have the Borla Hush on the new wagon too and really like it so far. How did the sway bar install go? I think that's next for mine. Let the mods begin!
