    It is common with all turbo vehicles. You can get an oil catch can that catches the nasty residue on its way to your turbo inlet pipe. Supposedly it helps with engine longevity, and more importantly, turbo longevity.
    My poor tranny!... someone sell me an aspen white 06 sti.

    i thought all wrx's had it, i think its some kind of rust protectant for the steel lines, it sure as heck wont come off, no under hood fires from me hmmmmm now you got me wonderin...

    Actually, if you are using a real macro lense, that pic should have been clear as day. I have never had focusing issues using the macro feature of my lens. Then again, I have a SLR. Point and shoot cams would def have trouble at that range, tho.

    Ya i agree with you however, the images are all grainy which led me to believe thatthis pic is a point and shoot digi taken indoors.

    PCV location

    Damn man... I still cannot seem to find that darn PCV valve on my 2004 WRX (not STI).

    So anyways I took some pictures of it w/ the intercooler off.

    Now can someone post where the pcv is on this darn thing?

    Based on all the pics in this thread, I would say it is plugged into the rubber hose under the mesh covered hose.

    well, nope that is not it on my o4. I took that piece out and that was the piece shown below on my previous post.

    Yes. I bought the part from autozone. was not the same piece.

    That piece that was shown where it should be was this:
