installing elbow. need help!!!

ok so i unscrewed the screws and poped everything out for the fenderwell. i see the stupid oversized stock silencer... but i cant seem to unscrew the bolt holding it. i cant even fit my wrench in there or into the engine bay. how in the world did u guys unscrew it. i think im the only one who had this problem?

I used an 18" socket extension with a swivel joint at the business end. If you had an air ratchet, that would probably work too. IIRC, there isn't room to swing a wrench up there, and you can't see it anyway.
