Hey, i've been looking all over the place. I can't seem to find a tutorial for removing the intake silencer. I really need pictures along w/a tutorial.
help please!

i just did this this weekend, its super easy, i took the passenger side tire off, and basicly just started removing, the little plasitc snap things, that hold the inner fender in place, there alot of them, then there 2 10mm bolts holding the stock silencer in, after that, it just pops out, i installed the elbow cause i dont want no damn water getting in there, heres a few pics, i hope this helps.
Hey, I removed the silencer but i wanna put an elbow in so i dont get any water in my filter. where would i buy one/could i make one from the stock silencer? I'm thinkign that i could like chop off the "milk jug" portion and somehow seal off the top part. How would i seal off the hole that i would make from cutting off the milk jug?

Well good luck with the MAF sensor, I hear it's very sensitive to intake volume inconsistancies/flow. I'm sticking with the GPmoto elbow since I got Cobb stage 2.

I made my own using the bottom part of the jug and a self hardening plastic apoxy. I was going to buy an elbow but since you just lose the sound with a smaller silencer, there is no point in removing it for a smaller one since essentially you get no "real" power gains IMO. I will take a pic later because I dont have it in becuase I lost the cool sound!

you should cut you budget with eating mac and cheese instead of jimmy riging you car.

The Rallitek is a piece of plastic.
Im just going to get one or make one from Home Depot from plastic.
not sure how that is "jimmy riging" cause Im saying money.
Unless the ralitek has some special plastic from Mars that gains 30hp,
that would be the only reason I would spend $40 on that.
no one even sees the re-reouter in the fender anyways.

I just did this mod, and I could only get maybe 5 out of the 10-12 plastic plugs back into the holes in the fender well. Did anyone else have a hard time getting these back in and is it alright if I could only get a couple of them back in?
