Exclamation Removing o2 sensor for AEM wideband

I know that my Cobb AP automatically deletes the code thrown by the stock o2 sensor in the down pipe. I am going to be installing an AEM wideband gauge, and my question is can I just unscrew the stock o2 sensor and just put in the wideband o2 sensor and then leave the stock one just unplugged?? May be a dumb question, but I thought I would ask before drilling my downpipe.

The ap simply deletes the nead for a rear o2 sensor so you should be fine just removing it.
