Hey so I just got most of my project car done, a 1986 Audi 4000, and now I need to move on to the intercooler. I was wondering if you guys knew about a good diy way/ a good site to get piping and couplers, and how to go about all this....
Cheers

Yes... you need engine management for engine modifications

yep thats how im doin it. but i saw this guy with the same car that had a sort of "flexible" piping. I dunno how to explain it its kinda like plumbing material.... and he said it worked like a charm, so that would take the measuring and fitting part out of all of it.
anyone got any ideas where i can find some "flexible piping" like that?

lol this one kid I know, used freakin PVC pipe as his intercooler piping on an older toyota. I was laughing my ass off, histerical!!! You can take it to a custom fabricator who can make a pipe for you after he looks at it and see's how the routing should go. Other then that, yea just use piping from a kit, or find something comparable. I dont like the flex hoses due to the fact that most are rigid inside, which wouldn't create even airflow in the piping. just my 2 cents
This thread is a little old I think he got his piping a looooong time ago.![]()
