I just recently installed an invida down pipe on my 02 wrx and couldn't seem to get the stock turbo heat shield to fit back on. Do you need that heat shield to keep the turbo cool and I think that I may have bent the wastegate rod trying to get the heat shield on. Is the rod supposed to be absolutely strait or is it supposed to be slightly bent at the back end. I drove the car and it seemed to be boosting fine it would jump up to .1 but then drop back down to the next notch and that is before boost drop of at high rpms. Thanks for any imput.
