I was going to try that today, until I got two parking tickets for a grand total of $37, $3 more than I have in my checking account... maybe some other day.

did it today on my fxt i used 5 washers each side didnt wanna go to crazy and put a ton of strain on any of the rubber..one little trick thou if u dont have a actually spacer just wrap the washers in electrical tape makes like a hellova lot easier.

if the hood closes and doesn't rattle, then you don't need to

also, you can bend the IC brackets a bit for a better angle/fit

gotcha i dont hear anything...yay...i went cheap mod happy today...the 20 buck catch can/drl disable/fog light mod/ and the IC tilt..bugdet mods rule!!! lol

Summer has been HERE for a month bump.....

Also did this using 2 sockets.... Don't have to worry about a ton of washers falling into the engine bay.

dont think this will work with the 2011 stock IC, I just went and checked and while I do see kinda what you mean about spacing the rear of it upward at an angle so that more air directly hits it, the IC seems to have black plastic clamps fully around it holding it down, maybe I misunderstood something but it looks like even after taking the bolts out the "clips" so to say fully hold the IC down, how would one get around that?

HOLY POOP!!!

this thing isn't just huge...it is many large chunks of hugeness!!! I don't think I realized how big this thing was until I just picked it up!

I think I'm going to have to re-think the 90 degree tilt because it would require about a 13" high hole!!! I think 45 degrees may be the best I can do. Did I mention how HUGE this thing is??

here's a picture of it next to my dog. A German Shepherd. WOW!!! It does look like a very solid piece though....bar and plate design looks much sturdier than the OEM one. I put a screen mesh in my scoop to protect the OEM IC, but I think this one would take a bullet and be fine. The whole thing is made of 1/4" Aluminum stock!

Might i ask what brand and/or what store u bought this I/C from on ebay? i just ordered one from Speed Daddy and its a 4" core bar an plate design. kind of wondering if its gonna be that huge as well...
