looking for info on how to exactly transplant a 2004 wrx sti motor and transmission( if possible) into a 2001 Impreza 2.5 Im not sure if the transmission will be able to fit or not but i need some instructions on if this swap is possible or is there another swap better to do

I don't think a USDM EJ257 +DCCD 6spd will fit in a GC8 01 RS. I would go with a 22B.
go over to nastysak like Midknight sayed, and ask about a 22B swap in a 01 RS.

The USDM STi engine will fit into the GC8, along with the transmission with the DCCD. Why would you go with the 22b swap if you had the chance to go larger displacement
