Calipers are same as RS

nope the 03.5 calipers are different they have a wider something which means the brackets do not fit, so i need everything

Thats what i get for not paying attention....i should know better.....i saw '2.5 RS' and just ASSumed that it was a GC8 style RS...

Started working on the beater finally...i decided that the AC MUST work before i take the RS out of service....pulled out the evaporator core from unver dash....and it has half a tree full of leaves in it.....Put on the new (used) compressor, and cleaned up teh Evap core, Need to change the Expansion valve, and put on teh new hig press hose (pick it up Tues).....then i will have AC again...i have a few little projects to do......and then the RS is shutdown.

Picking up a few 'extras' during the swap. When I start pulling the RS apart, i'll post a bunch of picks....ans stories...Plus i will put up a parts for sale list in the near future.

it has been a slow month....not much accomplished...

I am going on vacation to Europe for 5 weeks, then North Carolina for 2 weeks, and when I come back, this project will be taken on in ERNEST.

I have all teh required stuff, so when I get back, the motor and xmember (and all the other mechanical crap) will be swapped. I Plan to get all this done the first full weekend I get back (So this should be comeplete LESS wiring by the 22nd or so of July)...Wiring shouldnt take too long, but I plan on taking my time, and ending up with a factory look. I am going to duplicate routing and etc as close as I can to stock.

Motor is looking kinda sad on the engine stand. I needs to get put in, but vacation comes first. Should have the beast up and running in August (hopefully before my birthday).

Dont worry, MANY MANY MANY pics will be taken.

OK OK OK.....finally getting started on the swap. Sat/Sun will be spent swapping motor/x-member and all that goes with it....simple things first.

After that, the wiring will be done, whenever I have spare time....I am guessing it will take me a while to get it done, because I plan on doing it right...Also may do a few *upgrades* along the way.

Hopefully should have lots of good pics next week.

old motor and x-member out, new JDM x-member in......finishing torquing stuff, then motor will go in tonite

motor is in the car....too bad the harness isnt plug and play...

will try to put some info down after shower...on bits and pieces, and what i think will and wont fit...pictures galore also...

all in all, took about 9 hours from the time i disconnected the battery....motor is hard mated, but not everything is in yet, obviously
