This muffler is the same as the one offered by subaru, it's like 100+ bucks more from them but it's got SPT engraved on the tip. Good muffler usually at a good price.

im running this exhaust with the kartboy long hangars. Thaison from Jspec recommended it, because once you go totally catless, the tip will get much hotter, and may or may not sizzle your bumper. My avatar pic shows that the tip is in a much safer location.

wait a tick, isnt the only difference btwn the stock hangars and the kartboys ( not extra long) is the kartboys are much stiffer? therefore fitment wouldnt be any different

its the extra long ones that place away from the bumper like in your avater

(look at his pics, and look at your avatar)

is the sound quieter than a hks hiper/carbon ti exhaust? i'm looking to go more conservative on my exhaust choice while still having an aggressive note, and of course this is all being catless

    any droning?

    kpx,

very little droning, at idle its about as loud as stock (a leeeettle bit louder, if anything)

step on the gas, and let the world hear the joy of boosted fury

my setup is catless UP/DP so check out the soundclip I posted.

    Redline,

This catback is a manufacturer option from SPT, you can always argue that

Just don't revv it really loud when the fuzz is around

    Congrats, you're gonna love it!

Great exhaust, thanks for the review

I'm running the stock hangers on my wagon with no problems. There is some droning, but that is just part of owning a wagon. Did you use the stock donut or just a gasket?

I got it a while ago, IIRC it came with bolts and a flat gasket, and a bosal sticker. At the time, I guess about 9 months ago, I mated it with the stock donunt, but the bolts supplied were too short. I had to go out and get one at home depot. This was known well known at the time. I just wonder how it looks/fits with just the flat gasket.

    Hey Guys,

    Sorry for the delayed response

I was trying to pay attention to Damien and Mike when they were installing it...I BELIEVE they used the stock donut, but I'm not positive. Sorry I couldn't be of any help on this one
