ok here is my question that i havent found an answer to...i want to get the cobb stage 1 because i am stock right now...if i do mods and go to the stage 2 can i just download a stage 2 map or do i need to buy a new stage 2 unit? i dont want to buy a stage 1 and then have to buy a stage 2 down the road.

Check out www.cobbtuning.com All you have to do is either buy the AccessPort and then you can change stages on the fly or you can buy the AccessECU and get your ECU reflashed and then when you upgrade just send your ECU back in and for like $20 get it reflashed again. The AccessECU is $395 and the AccessPort is $600 I believe.

If you go the route of sending in your ECU, don't forget the shipping costs. By the time I overnighted my ECU to them in Utah to get flashed from Stage 1 to Stage 2, my out of pocket costs were more like $75.

AccessPort is the way to go. Shipping your ECU is a pain, and costs a lot.

It's no problem to go to stage 2 though. Just get the required exhaust components and you're good to go.

I wish they'd announce what stage 3 is going to be.

Yeah, when I was shipping my ECU around, AccessPort didn't exist.
