I'm planning to buy a turbo back exhaust (or cat back without the cats
)this is not a "best exhaust" thread, but I want some opinions from the users on this board. I'm soon putting on my helix up \ down pipe and wounder what exhaust I should buy.. Ok when choosing a exhaust you \ I have 4 things to consider. 1. Looks 2. Sound level (i will NOT use the optional Silencer) 3. performance. 4. price After considering price, and looks for me it comes down to two or three possible exhaust to buy.. 1. Blitz nur spec R 2. HKS Hiper 3. Unknown Ok now the questions. 1. How loud is the blitz nur spec r without cats? My borther got this exhaust on his evo6 and the sound level is ok, but I would perfer just a bit more quite exhaust. What decible can I expect with the blitz and the HKS? Does anybody have video clips of both exhaust without cats taken from the same distance? 2. Performance? I aim @ around 350 awhp how do you think hks hiper will compare to the litz at this HP levels? Blitz run a straighter line and it looks like it has less restrictions. With mods supporting 350AWHP will I have any problems at all with the HKS, can \ will I experience more power with the blitz? (Tried to search, but did'nt find any answers to my questions) -------------- EDIT: This is an old post. No need to answer it anymore ![]() btw. I already have bought a evo2 exhaust..

STi Genome.
Good looks (not too "big can"-ish, but not a peeshooter either), GREAT sound (low, melodic rumble at idle, nice raucous roar on throttle, not droany at highway speeds)... as far as power gains, not sure. It is a freeflow though, so there's gotta be some. But I swear by this sucker. Mine's not the exact STi Genome, it's the "STi/SPT Performance Muffler" as sold here in the states sans STi engraving. Can be had on Japanparts for around $600. BTW: The NUR Spec R is incredably loud with no cats. I can usually hear them a few cars away. Vostok 7

Sorry 'bout that.
How did this post wind up at the top of the list anyway? That's actually the exhaust I'm looking at getting this weekend.

you picked some hard hitters, those two are loud
go Greddy if you want something that wont attract attention, but if want to bring the noise go with the blitz or hks. performance? Theyre all approx the same, no noticable difference |

The Blitz Nur Spec R is the most regularly returned cat back that we sell. Its way to loud and will fill your cabin with drone regardless of engine speed all the time. Its a relentlessly loud and obnoxious exhaust system. Most people find that they can tolerate a system with some volume as long as its not loud all the time and lets up on the volume when you are trying to go slow or intentionally keeping your engine speeds low. There is no making the blitz be quiet, period.
Something you might want to consider is the Espelir JGT 500R its got a great tone, and does not drone very much at all. It gives you volume when you want it, like when your nailing the throttle and is very mild when you are crusing or keeping your rpms steady. The price is less than the nur spec, and the quality is on par with some of the most expensive systems out there. Please feel free to let me know if you have more exhaust questions. info@worldoneperformance.com

I would like to point out again on Roffa's behalf, that this thread is really old.
He has a GReddy exhaust on his car already. Any info is just for future reference. And the Blitz IS really freaking loud, but in a good way.
