Trials and tribulations of my exhausts...

Maddad Catted TwinDump DP / 3" halfback / PDE Up, Stock axle back / Cobb accessport with protune. SUPER quiet. Almost too quiet. 206hp/193lb-ft

Same as above with VF34, FP, injectors, and protune. Same as before at idle, a little louder at redline, but car sounds strange at higher rpms. Car has an evident weak top end(both butt dyno and real dyno show it). It starts to move then you can feel the torque falling off the roof 223hp/211lbft.

Changed to Borla "Hush" catback, and yet another protune. Pretty tolerable at idle, a nice deep rumble. ~ 3000rpms my cabin resonates like mad, it drives me insane. Towards redline the sound is sweet but I've been told it's LOUD. 245whp / 232lb-ft on a 92 day.

Very soon I'll be adding a different Exhaust. Headers are on their way(should be installed by next week) and I'm tossing around a bigger turbo too

Cliff notes to this post... Wagon owners with single high flow cat or catless beware of the borla "Hush" it will drive you nuts.
an 05 wrx wagon with a few mods and an 06 G35 sedan with none.

Is the Helix CBE angled or straight out?

A little louder get a cat less uppipe & down pipe with keeping the 3rd cat

Much louder but not insane, catless uppipe and a totally catless downpipe

you go catless and anything will be loud. evo 2 is on the quieter side of exhaust and i think the injen is slightly queiter but is angled.
