No this was someone else who installed it. I wouldn't be doing it in a driveway. I installed mine but my camera was at home so I couldn't take pics of the install. I just took those 3 of the engine bay is all because someone was asking on how to mount the BOV.

None at all. Then again, I'm being gentle with my car since it is running lean. My new Unichip will help which should be here today.

    THIS is not for me!

After looking at the photos and reading the testimonials, I have decided that a FMIC is not for me. I'll be going with the upgraded top mount from APS/Cobb Tuning, when it becomes necessary.
I love the way the intercooler looks in the bumper, but I don't like the lack of fog lamps. I don't like the idea of cutting away the bumper to put the piping in and it just looks like WAY TOO MUCH plumbing to do what Subaru did in less than two feet of hoses.

Plus, my stock intercooler has some dings in it. I can't imagine how messed up the FMIC fins would get driving my car to work everyday and ESPECIALLY when the Platinum Rex hits the rally trails.

No thanks. I know it provides superior cooling, but this IS NOT for me!

I actually am surprised you are even considering an upgraded top mount Jim. I always thought of you of a very catious and mild mods only type person. The stock one is fine unless you're getting a really big turbo. Don't bother. Leave it stock.

    Dan,

So true. I'm not the kind of person that can drive around in a 350HP WRX. I'd wind up in jail SO fast my head would spin. That is why I said, "when it becomes necessary." I guess I should have said, "if and when."

Don't get me wrong, I might end up with a PE1818 turbo and a fuel pump and injectors, but for now, I'm pretty happy with my car's performance.

The next thing for me will be the uppipe, followed by some gauges, followed by some silicone intercooler hoses, and ending (for now) with a Link ECU. I might also make some braking mods and put some bigger wheels on my car. This should put me comfortably in the lowe 13s in the 1/4 and make for a nice, reliable daily driver.

    -Jim
