    this thread rules!

I was driving around all day at half boost wondering what was wrong with my car. I figured I'd reset the ecu when I get home the usual way and drive it hard for a while. But this trick is a lot easier. It works just like it says. I had an easier time holding the boost though, cuz I have a nice hill by my house. Back to full boost in less than 10 seconds. Woohoo!

I have a stick so I'm not sure how hard it would be with an auto. I would think that as long as you can hold it at a constant rpm and constant boost, it should be the same as stick. As far as not having a boost gauge, you would have no way of knowing what you're boosting, so it might be hard for you to hold it at a certain boost.

No... All it does is resest the ECU and quickly advance the "learning mode" Nothing that a tank of gas wont do, but in a quicker time frame.

Nope. Just do a WOT 3 gear pull once or twice when the car is fully warmed up and the IAM should be maxed. Same thing with the 02+ cars. Cobb and other tuners actually sets the IAM for 12 on 16 bit ECU's and .75 on 32 bit ECU's.

All DBW/2.5 turbo cars have a 32 bit ECU.
