Hmmm. You're in Florida (i.e. practically BELOW sea level), 14psi is VERY conservative. As in Ft Lauderdale PENSIONER. Max boost is generally achieved in 3rd gear. Go for 15-15.5 in 3rd. Seriously...

Hmm, I had good luck with the Joe P mbc that I tried for about a week. No boost spikes, and part throttle boost was really not an issue like I thought it would be. Took it out just to be conservative though, wanted to wait for a staged kit.

How is this helpful to you? Hmm, I dunno.

I played w/it some more and got 14.5psi (3rd) w/no spiking, but I'm going to back it down to 14 just to be safe.

    Bov

Talk to me about blow off valves....what do they do specfically...besides make the car much louder? Do they increase spool up time...or increase spool down time between shifts? Thanks.

Install on the MBC is a cinch. The only thing easier is probably...Ummm...Well...

I can't think of anything Hell, it's easier than removing the intake resonator.

    MBC

I assume to 'set' the MBC in 3rd, you need to be running in 3rd at higher RPMs?

Also, by reading the forums I know that using a MBC can effect driveability when driving conservatively. But I'm not sure what that means.... can someone describe what happens at low/partial throttle?
