I went there but it doesnt say if a bypass valve is required though.

Typically it is a default. It is pretty rare to NEED a blow off valve.

It strikes me as odd that you would actually tune FOR one.
If anything, I'd think you would see why the valve is piped back into the intake.

You will be wasting fuel with a BOV, albeit a small amount, but it will smell, and you will never have the
throttle response you would have with a good BPV.

Have you considered some of the better bypass valves, like Forge, GoFastBits, TurboSmart?

Those all hold more boost than the stock compressor can create, and look better.

As for sound, if that is what you want, I am not sure how to help. Stealthy shifting is a plus in a prepared
race car, so making shifts as loud as possible is just not something I have looked into.

Cobb OTC maps are not aggressive enough to require a BOV - period. They usually are designed to run a little fat, to begin with, anyway.

On the 2011s an intake & Cobb stage 1 will give almost the same sound effects as a BOV.

Stg 1 + SF is pretty loud. The Cobb intake is definitely loud itself. I just put it on my car last week and believe me that stock BPV is more than enough sound to please anyone IMO.

I asked on nasioc, but I figured I'd post it up here too..

I'm running a Forge Recirculating Race type BOV on my TurboXS FMIC. The BOV (or if your prefer BPV) utilizes the OEM recirculation fitting and hose. Problem is the hose is crap. It was a PITA to get it hooked up to my Perrin SRI, but no matter what way you try to position it the damn thing kinks, badly.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement silicon hose specific for this application?
