Yes, exactly. There is no good reason to install it.

what mods do you currently have? 9 times out of 10 your stock BPV will be fine and you dont even need an aftermarket one.

You can actually go pretty far with making the OEM valve look good, if you want decent valving at a decent price, and still care about the fashion of your engine bay. It can be primed and filled, then painted with a base and metalflake, then a clear w/ color then another laquer of clear. You can make it look like a fine anodized piece of motor jewelry. It will outperform nearly anything else you will ever buy while using stock turbo, ECU and intercooler. If you leave it alone it will still do a lot better in bed than the ones made of billet do at the bar. If you want to put some make-up on it, it will be as good looking as any of those.

at 22psi, yeah, you are way past OEM targets, so, get a stronger valve. Forge, GFB, there are a bunch. Many will swear by their brands, some are very hard to tune, not even worth the time, and some are stupid simple (Forge is precisely like the OEM piece in removal/installation, and can withstand boost up to some rediculous amount).

These good valves are really expensive, and are a total waste unless you really need them. I think that is what this thread is supposed to gently educate, that there are builds that really need them, and there are some that will work better or worse with each engine. I had horrible luck with a GReddy RS valve, even though it was supposedly made for this car. It came down to the tune, and the stock valve was just as bad, so I ended up with a GFB triple-stack valve, and it's quiet, takes 18psi with no issue, and does not leak. I am on my way to a GFB Atomic controller, I will have pics of this mess when it's in. I am also rehosing my boost gauge...

So I'm guessing the Forge Recirc valve is good to go? I would think it would be hard to mess up one of those and have it leak....
