buying a used wrx is so sketchy period. I got my 06 with around 20k from a subaru dealership.(at the time the price was right so I jump for the first one 1 found) about a year later I learn I'm only making 6psi and I'm missing the turbo heatshield and my downpipe was once removed and reattached with non OEM bolts buying a modded wrx/Sti is not a good idear. Most people are stupid are buy parts that do more harm than good. you should do alot of research before buy one. I wish I did. Good luck!

That is kind of tough to answer. It depends on a lot of factors. What type of fuel you are using (91, 93, E85, race gas, etc.), the quality of the tune, what turbo you are running, etc.

It really is a question for your tuner, as each block/engine is a little different...some handle more, some handle less. There really is no magic number/PSI that will grenade the engine and with a bad tune even at a lower PSI you could cause damage.

hehe, sorry my brains not working right today.

One more question then. If I wanted to get rid of the bov and replaced it with the stock return lines. Where could I get the parts for a good price?

Check the classified/for sale section on these boards and on NASIOC. Someone is usually selling one for cheap. I actually have one sitting in my basket of old parts, but I am keeping it as backup just in case my Perrin Recirculating BPV ever fails.

However, I warn you again...I would not buy this car, it may have all sorts of unknown issues and you really should keep looking.

it would behoove you to occasionally check the retaining bolts on your perrin bpv. the two tiny bolts holding the valve together, not the ones clamping it down to your intercooler. mine explosively came apart one day, ended up replacing them with lock washers and whatnots.

Yeah thats not because of your BOV...its because less back pressure in your exhaust system due to your downpipe. What code is it showing exactly?
