My guess is that the young adults will tend to like the BOV and as age increases the results would skew to the opposite.

i found a BOV fascinating when i was about 13 years old (my brother had one on his 02 wrx..back in 02)

now i find them horribly annoying.

Does a forged replacement count? Like a GReddy RS with return pipe? It's still a BPV, doesn't really make any noises that the stock piece didn't make, but it sure looks a lot better... I trust it a bit more... but is it da' wanks?

I believe that VTA is wack... unless you are pushing over 400 horsepower, and it is immediately justified that all motor hardware had to be upgraded to maintain safety... at which point it is fun on the weekends, but to get to work and park politely... um, no...

I am all for upgrading to a better quality BYPASS valve, but blow-off is for racing. There is something classier about a polite-sounding car that can still pass the rest.

I kind of look down on a wrx/sti with a BOV though because most wrx/sti's don't use them.

It's cool i guess on a supra, skyline, or srt4.

its rice on a honda, vw, or any other slow turbo car.....maybe even the wrx

not to be a fanboy.. but i dont think i've ever seen a turboed honda thats slow...

Can someone direct me to a thread explaining how to delete my HKS bov and reconnect the stock BPv? I did a search and looked at the links but I'm not coming up with anything.

    Thanks!
