No they don't. They're damned fools. And you need to stop touting products unless you can prove that they're worth a damn.

    http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

Read that. Then tell me how incredible the HKS air filter is.

BTW... who in gods name would want to buy an oiled foam filter that you have to change every 10,000 miles. Oiled foam has been proven time and time again to have issues with coating the MAF in oil. And foam has been proven just as many times to be great in the dirt biking world, but horrible in the auto sports world.

Too bad the APS intake wasn't on that list. I'd like to see how it stacked up against the K+N for example. I might be in the market for an APS 65mm CAI for significantly less than the K+N or SPT short-rams...

I personally would get the K&N filter that matches up to the APS CAI. Honestly, just because I don't know how the filtration of the APS matches up to the K&N.

Can't find anything specific on the filtration quality, but everything I have read about the APS intake is that it is very good, definitely one of the best. Best part is that it's compatible with a FMIC should I ever decide to go that route. I can't imagine their filter is all that bad. I don't want any K+N oil getting on my MAF - I already have enough problems with my car

A good filter? HKS is like any other company. They make some nice parts but overall they like to sell products. High flow filters are made to primarily do one thing, flow more air. Filtering ability is generally not the main concern. The oil used for foam filters is worse for the MAF sensor that the cotton oiled filters. Full of crap? Lets go back and look at your track record here for correct, reliable information and then compare that to mine. You seem to be the one thats full of it.

    Really.

    They could have fooled me.

There is even a comparison between the K&N and HKS filters like you wanted.

That's not exactly correct. Infractions/ban can be for practically any inappropriate behavior.

I also found another article with the amsoil foam filter, vs the K&N. The K&N let in more than stock over a long period of time, but the amsoil foam filter let in outrageous amounts of dirt.

Are you serious? I mean, are you REALLY serious? If this isn't your first turbo car, then you should sell this one, and buy a Geo.

What damage? Hmm Turbo dead in short order.

Why don't you "like" the stock bov?

I'm borderline voting for teh banstick... LOL

i know turbo damage but im not planning on keeping the stocker on there, more internal was my question. my other turbo cars ran max .9 bar and i would beat the piss out of the motor and never had problems. sr's have a bolt on plate that blocks the bov from going off

    thats why i was asking

if im in the wrong thanks for the info
