I hadn't heard of them either - but I checked their UK site and they have been doing this stuff for a while there. Their support over the phone was great too - I came off the phone with trust in them and the feeling that they would be stand up about things if there were problems.

I have heard good stories about them helping out with broken parts that were the result of hamfisted install rather than manufacture.

I like the BOV that I got - they get my vote!!

ok i am number 2 on the list to have a white/gunmetal Sti. When i get it i want to put a aftermarket blowoff valve on it to make that Swushh noise... can anyone tell me how easy the are to put on, how much the cost, where to get them, best brands, and if it would hurt the car or not. thanks!

THey do make a 50/50 recirc BOV too - I think if that allays any fears you might have. Wont be as loud though

i can personally vouch for the forge 100%, the car runs exactly like stock, maybe a little better when shifting at high rpm's(turbo spools a tad easier)

I just bought my WRX and it had a blue GFB Hybrid BOV on it. The vent to go back into the intake was blocked off.

Its the noise that I am wondering about. It seems like it lasts way too long. Most BOV's that I have heard make a quick and sharp PSSSSHT. This one is more like PSSSSSSSsssssssh. I am wondering how to adjust these BOVs. Can anyone scan the instructions that came with thiers and send the to me?

I heard about Forge a while back.

I knew about them from Volkwagon scene that i was (and still) into. From what i've heard and seen, so far everyone had no complaints about Forge.

I'm with Aussienstlouis, i would vouch Forge. They have excellent product for Japanese and European cars.

If the STi is anything like the current WRX here are the answers:

1. EASY.
2. $225+ for the "better" ones
3. Lots of places (look at our vendor section)
4. Most like the HKS SSQV, Blitz DD, and/or GFB
5. Hurt as in destroy? No. Hurt as in reduction of performance? Most will say yes (I had hesitation issues with my GFB 50/50).

The v2 was revised to increase clearance between the intercooler and a/c lines (v1 had NONE ) and to allow for (some) aftermarket BOV's to be installed. Plus it's nice and shiny with improved end tanks and is lighter.

Okay, final question from me...how loud is it when compared to say, a Blitz or HKS? Is it loud enough for people on the sidewalk to hear?

I just wanna make sure it can be heard over my exhaust...hehe
