No.
Instead put a whistle tip on your exhaust. Problem solved.

im looking for a bov thats loud and like the hks and greddy type s bov but i want the recirculation. i know it wont be as loud cause some air is getting recirculated. ive been having a real hard time figuring out what to get.

So the GFB WRX hybrid is okay to use? I've read on Modern Automotive Performance.com that even when venting 100% to atmosphere:
"This configuration works successfully on the WRX without any drivability problems."
But I have a hard time believing this after looking at this thread. It would seem that literally any amount of air vented to atmosphere will cause the car to run rich, whether venting 50% or 100%, it would just cause different degrees of a rich mixture which would be bad in any amount.
Am I right, and the site is either mistaken or misleading? Or can you use this particular BOV without any problems; and if so, why?
Sorry for all the questions, this just seems to be a contradiction.
I can see how a 50/50 setting would cause "less" of an issue, but it's still a little rich.. 100% venting creates a real rich issue; i personally know this, and had to try and tune accordingly, with my Tial 50mm

Thanks for the reply, and I see what you're saying. I'm kind of curious to see if venting 50% and recirculating 50% would cause enough of an issue to be harmful or not, but naturally wouldn't want my own car to be the guinea pig.
I'm taking home an '04 5-speed WRX Monday and an '02 4EAT WRX next week (for my girlfriend to drive). We both like the sound of a BOV, but would never want to damage a car to get it.
And after searching and finding all this info on BOVs in general, it appears to be a pretty bad idea; as the only benefit would be the sound, and the possible (probable) negative effects seem to be somewhat costly and entirely avoidable.

"whole kit" ? Like: BOV, recirc option, etc?
I don't think they offer it all as a 'kit'..
