    if youre running under 20lbs of boost, then yes, its a waste. if youre over(as in, certain turbo upgrades), the stock BPV can potentially leak over 20lbs. not always, but if the potential for failure is there, why not upgrade to an aftermarket BPV. most aftermarket BPV can withstand 25lb+.

    now you know. and knowing is half the battle...

    hks b.o.v.

    when i got my subbi it already had a hks b.o.v. which is fine but on the freeway its kinda annoying every time i take my foot of the throttle you can hear it is there a better quieter b.o.v. or am i just winning for no reason. yeah i have a turbo but i dont really want to hear it all the time.

    better/quieter = stock BPV.

    bovs are horrible for our cars to begin with.

    whats bad about them and the bad part i dont have the oem. the hks came on the car when i bought it any sugs.

    i have been monitoring intake gas temps and when you are moving the temps are close to the environmental temps but when you stop they quickly shoot to around 120-140, i bet that intake is like sitting in traffic 24/7s i cant imagine anything under 100degrees enters the engine.
