I don't have one, but saw/heard one installed on a friend's vehicle. It was just TOO loud. Must have been fun for like 3 days - and then I think it drove him nuts.

I run the turboxs rfl for over a year. I love it. If you want I can show you a site to get it for 169 shipped that is with the bolt on kit. I had the blitz but the spring was too heavy and didn't work right even when I adjusted it. So stay away from blitz. Some people use them, but if you look on iclub a lot of ppl sold theirs.

I have the GFB BOV and it is set at 50/50 so half the air is recirculated. I have only had it for 2 days but my car does not seem to have any problems. Only real gain is that it makes a nice sound, but thats why I got it! Bought it cheap off a guy so i didn't care, he had it set at 100% vent air and he didn't have any problems but he wants the HKS one next.

I have the APS BOV. It acts like the stock diverter vale until high boost.

    Best of both worlds.

APS dual-stage bov. It came in the APS/COBB Club Spec kit. I couldn't tell you if it hurts, or helps. I can tell you that my kids love the wooosh sounds it makes.

Actually, Cobb told me that on the stock turbo, it does nothing for the car, just their bank account.

    Yea. The WOOSH is cool.

No matter what BOV you get. It's a waste of money.

Nope, but if you get the turboxs rfl be sure to lube the piston and cyclinder. Its a very simple piece. Some wd40 and thats alls. Runs fine.

APS dual vent. stock recirc is fine until you get above ~18-20psi or so. Not all, but some running this high boost with larger turbos have found the stock recirc doesnt cut it at high boost.

I would think if your running a higher flow turbo/big ic/making big power ect that you would want to upgrade the stock BOV to a higher *flow* unit but not sure at what point the stocker really begins to be a problem. Would need some high end tuners input on that. Other than that its just a noisemaker..but a cool noise

I like the 50/50 units ones or units like the APS that act like a standard recirc unless your doing high boost/high rpm shifts where it then blows the excess to atmosphere..best of both worlds along with the fact it can handle any high flow turbos output with the dual stage design.

I have the HKS SSQ model. I did notice that the car feels like it stays spooled up a little more between shifts. This one is supposed to be guaranteed to completely close at idle, so it won't idle roughly. Mine idles fine.

Russ and Curtis, how loud are your APS BOVs anyway? Are they loud enough for people on the street to hear them?

So what is the disadvantage of running a 100% atmospheric BOV? I've heard it causes a run rich condition for a second, but how bad is it? Is it enough to foul plugs and cause the car to stall?
