I was thinking about getting a HKS super sequential bov but one of my buddies told me i would need to reserculate it to prevent damage to my engine over time. Is this true?

Yes/no. Will it definitely? Hmm, maybe, maybe not. Is there a huge chance for issues to arise, possibly failure-resultant? Yes.

    Step 1. Open hood (bonnet)
    Step 2. Locate said BOV
Step 3. Remove said BOV and replace with factory one
Step 4. Place BOV in trash bin

    Problem solved.

Seriously, unless there is a vaccum leak, I would remove the BOV. Is your car totally stock?

The money spent on an aftermarket BOV is better used on other components.
