This is more of a 6 1/2 year old running joke than it is a tech thread.

How important is it that I have a BOV???

OK so I am currently at Cobb stage 2 and I had a buddy of mine tell me I need a BOV so the car does not fall on its face between shifts. I did not think that I needed one untill I was going over 18 psi and I am only at 16-17 psi. He also said it will make the turbo last longer? So is it worth spending the 300$$ for the HKS BOV? Thanks guys!

Does the car fall on its face between shifts? Why?

The answer to your question is no.

Your thread is probably on its way to the Big BOV thread.

Useless... most BOVs will actually hurt your performance.

If you "MUST" have the "sound"..... then fine, but get a 50/50 recirculating BOV. That at least won't "hurt" it.... I have one myself.

WARNING!!! Your car will not run without a BOV!! At stage 2 powAR, the turbo spoolz are just too much and the stock valve will not blow enough. Remember, only teh aftermarkets BOVs can blow more than teh stock one. word.
