The BOV goes off........RIGTH NOW!!! PSSHHHH!!! ZOMG
No all kidding aside I believe the BOV goes off at noon everyday.
This is a discussion on "The BIG BOV thread" (Where all bov question threads get merged) within the Engine Modifications forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; The BOV goes off........ RIGTH NOW!!! PSSHHHH!!! ZOMG No all kidding aside I believe the BOV goes off at noon ...
You BOV only goes on when you are under boost. It releases the boost pressure to the atmosphere. So if you are driving and not under boost (ie under 3000 rpm for most) then shift, it probably wont go off. Stuck on 5000 RPM? Sounds like a FFS problem.

ok so i know on a WRX a BOV = power loss. BUT there is nothing for the 2008 WRXs and i was a lil something something to make my car different. winter is coming up so i really do not want the power anyways becuz i live in Chicago and the snow would get me into trouble.
so my question is, would a Greddy Type S bov fit the 08 WRX?
prob. not, cobb has a down pipe for the car.
