You BOV only goes on when you are under boost. It releases the boost pressure to the atmosphere. So if you are driving and not under boost (ie under 3000 rpm for most) then shift, it probably wont go off. Stuck on 5000 RPM? Sounds like a FFS problem.

    BOV [please dont hurt me]

ok so i know on a WRX a BOV = power loss. BUT there is nothing for the 2008 WRXs and i was a lil something something to make my car different. winter is coming up so i really do not want the power anyways becuz i live in Chicago and the snow would get me into trouble.

so my question is, would a Greddy Type S bov fit the 08 WRX?

Ish a piston. If your geting a fuel cut there is some thing seriously wrong with your car. Look at my mods. They are mad Crazy Insane But most would agree that they are good safe ways to make power and sweet bad ass boxer noise.
