i was debating on answering this but the beer made me do it. unfortunately BOV, CAI, and neon lights are taboo in here and in the wrx community. lol, from my experience you'll be just fine without the tune. of course the tune will make the world of difference. if you were thinking of tuning out the rich condition caused by the BOV don't get your hopes up, you can't tune that out. no worries though, if you drop the cats running rich won't kill you since you won't have cats to ruin. if you can't get the pro tune right away, like was my case, the AP will do an excellent job in the mean time. i gained 30 hp at the wheel after the tune though. ok, enough rambling, later and good luck.

I have a BOV and catless. I shoot flames on a regular basis, pretty sweet IMO. But you are fine without a tune, but a tune will give you much more power (safely).

Tons of people run BOVs. You will be fine. but ya, you will feel the flames here on the boards from it. But its your car, do as you like. =)

    Crushing stock BOV ???

I have a 2002 WRX Wagon. Has anyone had any luck with crushing the stock BOV to get it to hold boost better?

In DSM-Land (Talon-Eclipse-Laser) that is a popular mod.

Any write-ups on this for Sub?

    Thanks.

What do you mean buy chrushing

Generaly any mods like this are bad and actualy hinder the performance. But I can't say that because I don't know what your talking about. Look up Snorkel deleat this is a good free mod that can see performance gains.
