Hey whats up guys. Could the poping sound also be caused by the way someone shifts?? I had my car checked out and they said everything was fine. Transmision was fine all the timing in the engine was fine. I just want to make sure that this is normal and nothing bad is going on.

Its NOT a BANG more like a POP.

    thanks.

Not only is it on one of these pages.. it's on the same page you posted on, and it's on the very first page.

Don't put a blow off valve on. You will have a rich condition. It's bad on the engine. It ruins catalytic converters, you will fail emissions. In severe cases it can cause a car fire because of the unburnt fuel in your cat. just don't do it.

Only problem with any aftermarket EM is, the MAF is still in front of the air inlet from the RBV. The AFC doesn't have an exact measurement of how much air is lost between shifts with a blow off valve, and doesn't have a map for specific blow off valves and rpms. Depending on boost pressure in the intake tract the air lost with the BOV changes. So unfortunately the AFC isn't enough of an answer. It may feel like it is, but it doesn't solve the problem. The only engine management software that will work without a MAF (therefore will work w/ a BOV) is Autronix, and Hydra.
