many complain that after a few months of hearing it, it gets so annoying they have to take it off, and they feel like they wasted money.

for the kind of cash you'd spend on a BOV, you could get something that would make a NOTICABLE performance improvemnt. the BOV will do nothing for the car.

if you still decide you want one, make sure you get one that at least is 50/50 vent. the stock BPV is 100% recirc. 100% vent will make your car run horrible.

There seem to be conflicting reports on this. (See God's post)

i personally would not want to be running rich b/w shifts, and having the ECU pull fuel to compensate.

many others comment on a turbo "flutter" i don't have one, so run some searches, and get the general consensus. i'm just passing on what i hear.

car idiels funny after installing blitz dd bov

the car idles funny. it kinda shakes the car and makes a ticking noise. seems like its coming from the belts. but when i step on the gas slightly, the rpm goes up then down to almost 100 then goes back up and sits around 500.

go to this link for pictures.

I have the exact same problem with my Greddy Type S BoV. People have been telling me its a leak. I haven't fixed it yet - I'm probably gonna just get a new one or something since I bought mine used.

Try feeling around the BOV and see if there are any leaks at idle. Adjust the spring so that you don't leak. Then pull on the throttle cable and see if you get any leaks at steady higher RPM. If good then you're all set. On the Blitz you just loosen the 12 mm nut on top and use a 4 mm allen wrench to adjust, the retighten the 12mm nut.

I had the exact same problem with my GFB BOV, but there is no way to adjust the GFB. I also sprayed carb cleaner around the outer circumference of the BOV to see if there was a leak. If there was, the RPM's would have jumped slightly. But there was NO leak. So I got rid of it and run the stock BOV. I will never run a aftermarket BOV on my car again. No performance = No gain.

From what I heard, the blitz leaks at idle..i could be totally wrong though.
I have HKS SSQBOV. It is impossible to leak due to it's design. And it sounds great.

You have to adjust the Blitz. The spring is set kind of loose out of the box. It works perfectly once adjusted.

    I have HKS...and I love it.
I heard that GFB is great, too.
If you want a high pitch sound, then I think HKS is better.

I just installed my HKS SSQV BOV, and may I just say OH MY GOD!!! I love it. It sounds sooooo cool The install was quite easy. The only marginally difficult part was getting the plug in the air inlet hose, and putting the clamp around it. Even that wasn't too terribly difficult. The problem with running rich is hardly noticable. The only reason I felt it is because I was looking for it. Overall, this is a cool mod, and I recommend it to everyone...even to all you BOV haters

Here are some clips if you want to hear what the HKS BOV sounds like. Here's the link to it: http://users2.ev1.net/~qwerty96/tsp/members/Fahd Go to the bottom of the page, right click on one of the videos, and save target as. Not all of the are working. Some are yet to be downloaded. Enjoy
