This is a discussion on "The BIG BOV thread" (Where all bov question threads get merged) within the Engine Modifications forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; blow up valve or blow off valve? I guess they could be considered one in the same...

Called a blow off valve. There is a huge thread already on these, which I'm going to merge this thread into.

Companies sell a lot of cigarettes, too. Doesn't mean that they're a good thing.

Wingless alas. Too bad it took a 50 ton truck to make it happen.

Both my parents smoke, many friends smoke, even my younger sister tried it. Everyone swore I would try it...never did. YAY!

I am dying of second hand smoke from my parents though

It was the same situation in my family. I took one sample puff of my Mom's Winston when I was 10, and that told me everything I needed to know about smoking. My Mom was ordered to quit by her doctor 15 years ago (or have bronchitis for the rest of her life), my sister still smokes like a stack, and my Dad died of cancer, though not in the lungs.

I'll always wonder if being around 6 packs a day of cigarettes growing up (parents combined) permanently effected me.

I too am wondering that same question. I have always been an avid soccer player, so I always told my parents they were killing my soccer career by smoking so much. I even tell them they are killing my dogs by smoking so much in my house. I get friends and people that smell my clothes asking if I smoke because my whole house wreaks of it. I even have an air purifier in my room and I keep the door closed 90% of the day, and it doesn't help

I had a grandpa who smoked like nuts who died of lung cancer. My mom has "scists" or "nodules" in her lungs that might or might not be cancer, but she does have asthma, all because of smoking so much. Yet she continues to smoke 2 packs a day. Its borderline chain smoking. I'm so worried for her...and don't get me started on genetic heart problems in my family. I am Effed in the future

    PS...never smoked weed ever
