So i'm looking into buying a TurboXS BOV. I'm not going to lie, its just got the sound. I hear BOV's are bad for wrx's that it can make the car run "rich"? how bad is that.. and how can i not make it run rich with the BOV still installed. thanks clubwrx. Or if there is a BOV that is designed not to do this "rich" bs, link it

i just got my 02 wrx yesterday, and i want to put my friends old greddy rs BOV so my car makes the "cool" noise. i read in a BOV thread that it can cause long term engine damage.

is this really something to worry about, and i deff. shouldn't do it?

or is it not really a big deal?

It will make the car run rich in between shifts and it's really not worth it. Moving this thread into that bov thread you read.

what about a gasket? need one? for a newb, how long should it take me to get the whole project done? im pretty knowledgeable, but not so confident with this project. i don't want to lose boost anywhere. it seems there's so much to take off. i'm prolly just making it more than it needs to be. anyways thanks for the help. sure am gonna miss that sound. guess i'll just have my passenger make the pshhhht when i shift. ha
